Kigali City Tour – Journey to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you begin the day with a guided Kigali city tour, highlighted by a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a deeply moving place of remembrance and learning that offers essential context to Rwanda’s remarkable recovery.
Later, you set off on a scenic road journey north to Volcanoes National Park (Musanze), passing lush hills, rural villages, and postcard-worthy landscapes.

Day 3
Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Cultural Encounters
An early breakfast prepares you for one of Africa’s most powerful wildlife experiences.
You transfer to Kinigi Park Headquarters for briefing before heading into the forest with expert rangers for your mountain gorilla trekking safari.
The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours depending on gorilla movements, but every step is worth it.
When you finally meet a gorilla family, you’ll spend a magical hour observing them, a humbling, emotional moment few ever experience.
After lunch at the lodge, your afternoon is dedicated to culture with a visit to the Gorilla Guardians Village (formerly Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village).
Here, you engage with local communities, learn traditional customs, hear ancient stories, and enjoy vibrant Rwandan dances.

Golden Monkey Trekking – Return to Kigali & Departure

After the trek, you return to the lodge for lunch, check out, and begin your scenic road transfer back to Kigali.
