Kigali City Tour – Journey to Lake Kivu & Night Fishing
After breakfast, begin your day with a deeply moving visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, offering insight into Rwanda’s past and its extraordinary recovery.
You then explore Rwanda’s modern creative side at the Inema Arts Centre, followed by a visit to the Nyamirambo Women’s Centre, where you learn how local women are empowered through crafts and culinary initiatives.
In the afternoon, you set off on a scenic road journey west to Kibuye (Lake Kivu), passing rolling hills and coffee farms.
As evening falls, you experience a memorable traditional night fishing expedition, joining local fishermen under the stars, a rare and authentic Lake Kivu adventure.

Nyungwe Rainforest, Waterfalls & Tea Traditions
After an early breakfast, you travel south toward Nyungwe Forest National Park, one of Africa’s most biodiverse rainforests.
Upon arrival, begin the Kamiranzovu Waterfall Trail, a guided 6 km hike through dense forest leading to a powerful waterfall hidden deep within the greenery.
In the afternoon, slow the pace with a visit to a nearby tea plantation.
Walk through emerald tea fields, join local farmers in tea plucking, learn the journey from leaf to cup, and finish with a warm tea-tasting session, a gentle, sensory experience rooted in community and tradition.

Chimpanzee Trekking, Canopy Walk & Return to Kigali
After breakfast, you head into Nyungwe Forest for two unforgettable experiences.
First, enjoy the Nyungwe Canopy Walk, a suspended bridge stretching 160 meters and rising 70 meters above the forest floor, offering a rare bird’s-eye view of the ancient rainforest.
Later, you begin your chimpanzee trekking safari, guided by expert rangers who track these energetic primates through the forest.
Watching chimpanzees interact, communicate, and move through the canopy is a thrilling and humbling wildlife encounter.
After your forest adventure, you begin the scenic road transfer back to Kigali, stopping en route at the Nyanza King’s Palace Museum for a cultural insight into Rwanda’s royal heritage.
You’ll be dropped at your hotel or Kigali International Airport, depending on your departure plans.
