We collect you early from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta Airport and drive west across the equator into the Rift Valley, the landscape gently unfolds as escarpments give way to the shimmering band of Lake Nakuru.

The lake’s alkaline shore can host vast flocks of flamingos and the park was established as one of Kenya’s early rhino sanctuaries, making it a heartwarming first stop to witness conservation in action.

Arrive in time for lunch, freshen up, then head out on an afternoon game drive across the lake’s rim where rhinos, giraffe, zebra and buffalo graze in the golden late light.

Expect an easy first-day pace with short drives and soberly spectacular scenery, a perfect gentle introduction to safari life.

After an early morning short game drive along the lakeshore (great light for photos of birds and rhino), we leave Nakuru and drive south toward the Masai Mara, crossing rolling highlands and small town markets, a scenic road that lets you see rural Kenya.

You’ll arrive at your luxury camp in the Mara Triangle in time for lunch and a short rest.

This afternoon we head straight out for your first Mara game drive: the Mara’s sweeping savannah feels timeless, and your guide will tailor the drive to your interests, big cats, elephants, or the birds and smaller creatures that make the ecosystem sing.

The camp is positioned for early departures and late returns so you won’t miss the best light.

Today is a full-day Mara experience with flexible timing and unlimited mileage: we will wake early for sunrise game viewing, return for a leisurely brunch, then set out again with a packed lunch to explore further.

The Mara shelters abundant resident wildlife and depending on season, the dramatic wildebeest migration corridors.

Your guide knows the best spots to find lions, cheetah and plains game; the day is yours to savour at a comfortable pace with photo stops, tea under a lone acacia and an optional short nature walk near the camp.

Evening sundowners at a scenic ridge make a gentle, celebratory close to the day.

We depart the Mara after an early morning game drive and complete border formalities as we cross into Tanzania toward the Serengeti, a longer travel day, but it’s punctuated by wildlife sightings and changing ecosystems.

Many guests prefer to fly this sector; if you’d like that upgrade we can add a scenic charter to save time and add comfort.

Assuming road transfer, arrive at your Serengeti lodge mid/late afternoon for lunch and a cooling rest, followed by a gentle evening drive into the surrounding plains to stretch your legs and search for predators settling for the night.

The lodge’s elevated positions give expansive views across the plains at sunset.

Wake to the soft Serengeti light and head out on an early morning drive when predators and prey are most active, this area’s resident wildlife includes abundant lion, cheetah and great herds of plains game.

Your guide will work to find close, comfortable viewing positions so you can sit back and enjoy the spectacle.

Return midday for lunch and downtime: optional siesta, spa treatment or shaded terrace viewing as animals come to the watering holes.

In the late afternoon we venture deeper for the golden-hour drive, watching the plains change colour as the sun sinks.

This morning choose between a longer exploration of the plains or a cultural/historical stop at Olduvai Gorge to learn about early human history and the Leakey discoveries on the way to a scenic picnic.

Olduvai adds a meaningful human story to the wild landscape and is easily combined with short game viewing en route.

Afternoon game drive returns you to the lodge for a slow evening, another opportunity for night photography or a private bush dinner arranged at your lodge (advance request).

Early morning safari for the last Serengeti sightings, then we transfer toward the Ngorongoro Highlands.

The drive climbs the escarpment into cooler, crater-rim country, a contrast to the open plains and a great moment to reflect on the journey so far.

Expect varied scenery and intermittent wildlife along the route.

Arrive at your camp on the crater rim in the late afternoon; time for tea and a sunset platform where the crater’s vast bowl appears like a living theatre below, dinner at camp and a restful night before the crater descent tomorrow.

We rise very early to descend the Ngorongoro Crater floor at opening: the crater shelters one of the world’s densest concentrations of wildlife inside a volcanic caldera, so game viewing here is exceptional, expect elephant, buffalo, lion and (with luck) rhino. The crater’s variety, swamps, forest and plains makes every sighting different.

After a picnic lunch on the crater floor and a short mid-day game drive, we ascend and drive (approx. 2 hrs) to Lake Manyara where the landscape changes to acacia forests and a scenic escarpment.

Late afternoon arrival gives time for a short game drive along the lakeshore before dinner at the lodge.

Enjoy a gentle morning game drive around Lake Manyara famous for its tree-climbing lions and photogenic hippo lake with opportunities for birding and short guided walks.

The park’s intimate scale makes it ideal for relaxed viewing and leisurely photography.

After lunch we begin the transfer back toward Kenya and Amboseli (this is a long road day approx. 5 hrs from Manyara to Amboseli depending on border formalities).

Evening arrival at your Amboseli camp dinner and time to watch the Kilimanjaro silhouette if skies are clear.

We start before dawn to capture the iconic Kilimanjaro sunrise (when weather permits) and then enjoy a morning game drive focused on Amboseli’s superb elephant viewing; these gentle giants often appear at close range in swamp and plain areas unforgettable for photographers and wildlife lovers alike.

Return to camp for a relaxed brunch and optional afternoon nap or conservancy walk; later, a short evening drive offers different species and a chance to hear the plains at dusk.

After lunch we drive back to Nairobi, arriving mid-late afternoon (approx. 4–5 hrs), then transfer to your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta Airport for onward flights.
